Seminar by Xavier Waintal, from the CEA, on 15 May 2025 at 11:00am in the Auditorium of the Institut d'Optique Graduate School in Palaiseau, on the topic: "The second tensor network revolution; From quantum computing to machine learning".

Abstract: "In this talk, I will discuss an emerging set of “quantum inspired” techniques that are rapidly emerging as practical alternatives to quantum computers with similar accelerations (for certain problems) yet running on perfectly standard classical computers. I will show in particular how these techniques can be used to speed up the solutions of certain partial differential equations or the so-called “superfast” (quantum) Fourier transform."
