Seminar for PhD students given by Sandrine Villenave of the Nanophotonics group, on 06 January 2022 at 1:15 pm by videoconference, on the topic: "Development and integration of structures in CMOS technology for multispectral filtration".

Abstract: "In a health context that is not very promising and that makes us doubt and fear our immediate environment, a need to analyse and control it is felt. To this end, the use of optical sensors for spectroscopy is becoming increasingly important, particularly in the fields of health, the environment and agri-food. In my thesis, we aim to develop a way to offer a spectral analysis tool to a consumer through the development of integrated optical filters adapted to CMOS technology, which is widely used in the field of optical sensors due to its low production cost, speed and versatility. The filters we are studying are composed of layers of dielectric and semiconductor materials structured in periodic arrays, which can be integrated with a CMOS imager. This study, combining optical simulation, clean room production and optical measurement, has enabled us to develop filter arrays with multispectral aims in the visible and near infrared domains."
