Imaging and Information

The Imaging and Information group develops innovative imaging systems that take into account the physics of the observed scenes and that optimize the optics that shape the image and the digital processing that extract the useful information.

This approach, which requires both theoretical and experimental developments, is available in the following fields of application:

  • Polarimetric imaging,
  • Adaptive optics,
  • Co-design of imaging systems.

Our activities closely relate the study and the modeling of theoretical problems with the technology and the considered applications: remote sensing, astronomy, biomedical imaging or industrial vision. Our research work integrates multidisciplinary skills and is conducted in collaboration with companies (Essilor, Thales, SAGEM, Imagine Eyes ...), large French public organizations (ONERA, Hospital Quinze-Vingts, Observatory of Paris-Meudon, ... ) or international partners (University of Durham, Gemini Observatory, ...).
