Étude du nouveau concept de fibre cristalline, caractérisation des propriétés thermo-optique (température, lentille thermique), étude de nouveaux cristaux dopés par des ions de terres rares, amplification de faisceaux limités par diffraction dans des fibres multimodes ou multicoeurs.

  • New concept of single crystal fiber

    Single crystal fibers are thin and long laser materials combining the advantages of bulk crystals and the advantages of fibers.These new rare earth doped laser media have large potentials for high average power emission and amplification of high peak power short pulses.

  • Thermo-optical characterization of laser crystals

    Development of an original bench able to measure intrinsic parameters such as the thermal conductivity and the thermo-optical coefficient by using an infrared camera and a wavefront sensor.

  • High beam quality multifiber / multicore / multimode fiber amplifiers

    In order to overcome instrinsic energy limitations of fiber sources due to nonlinear effects, we have investigated several innovative solutions based on active or passive wavefront control of multimode / multicore ytterbium-doped amplifiers and coherent combining to generate diffraction-limited amplified output beams.
